Contractor’s local division inks $59.4M deal to build Army complex for explosives

The Orlando division of one of the largest general contractors in the U.S. will help build eight U.S. Army facilities in Florida totaling nearly 100,000 square feet. 

Greeley, Colorado-based Hensel Phelps Construction Co. won a $59.4 million, two-year contract for construction of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex at Eglin Air Force Base, according to the U.S. Department of Defense. The complex, which may cost up to $100 million total to build, will house the development of nano energetic/explosive technologies and other military-grade weapons. Read more here.
