Where to watch SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy launch — including from a boat and other best spots

From a small vessel anchored in the ocean, Christopher A. M. Gerlach and a gaggle of space enthusiasts got front-row seats to the biggest rocket launch of 2018: The debut of SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy.

Like a futuristic Transformer disassembling, the Heavy erupted through the clouds in February 2018, then separated from its boosters. Two of them zoomed back down to Earth to a landing zone in the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station just miles from where the boat viewers were stationed.
