AdventHealth to launch large genetic study for high cholesterol

AdventHealth is embarking on an ambitious project that involves sequencing and analyzing the DNA of 10,000 people to find out whether they have gene variations that can lead to very high cholesterol and to tailor their treatment based on the genetic findings.

Called WholeMe, the project is the health system’s first major foray into genomics and personalized medicine and can eventually change how doctors practice medicine. Read more here.
