SpaceX’s next rocket launch will kick off satellite constellation

SpaceX’s 17th cargo mission for the International Space Station on May 4 was a success for both its launch and drone ship landing. What’s next on its launch list is something rival satellite companies may be anxious to see.

As the Hawthorne, California-based company’s Dragon capsule approached the ISS today, successfully, delivering 5,500 pounds of supplies, science experiments and hardware, SpaceX workers probably are busy monitoring the capsule as well as planning for the company’s next launch sometime in May.
