Well-known rocket joint venture firm United Launch Alliance LLC got a big contract to launch its largest and most powerful rocket to-date from Florida’s Space Coast.
The U.S. Air Force awarded ULA a $149.3 million contract for launch services. ULA — a joint venture between Bethesda, Maryland-based Lockheed Martin Co. (NYSE: LMT) and Chicago-based Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) —will use its Delta IV heavy rocket for the National Reconnaissance Office. This is the second of three planned NRO launch missions under this contract. Read more here.
