Early Tuesday morning, the spacecraft that will one day carry astronauts back to the moon will tear through the sky over Cocoa Beach, initiating a high-speed abort that will end with the vehicle in pieces just a few miles offshore.
The intense test, one that will prove the craft’s ability to save its crew in the case of an emergency mid-flight, will take place sometime between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s launch pad 46. Read more here.
