Health briefing: Amicus Therapeutics buys land in Lake Nona

Amicus Therapeutics, a New-Jersey biotech company that develops drugs for rare diseases, has bought 5 acres of land for $3.1 million from the Lake Nona Land Co. in Orlando.

“Amicus is laying the foundations for a world-class Gene Therapy Manufacturing Center of Excellence and we will provide further details on the project in the first half of the new year,” said Amicus spokesman Chris Byrne, in a statement. Read more here.
