Study: Orlando — and most of the U.S. — failing to grow tech employment

Select U.S. metro areas have been amassing new tech jobs since last decade, creating a harmful disparity among the nation’s cities, according to a new report by the Brookings Institute. 

The findings were released by the Washington D.C.-based research group in a Dec. 9 report, which states the imbalance in innovation sector job growth has reached “extreme levels.” The report defines innovation sectors as the nation’s 13 highest-tech, highest-R&D fields. This includes aerospace manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and software publishing. Read more here.
