Lockheed/Northrop venture takes off with $235M helicopter deal

Two defense giants with a large Central Florida presence have teamed up to score a $235 million U.S. Army contract.

Longbow LLC, an Orlando-based joint venture between Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC), won the contract, which calls for the production of a radar system for the Apache helicopter.
