Here’s why WeWork hasn’t started construction downtown yet

It’s been a quiet six months since WeWork applied for a construction permit to build out its future 70,000-square-foot office space in downtown Orlando.

The global co-working giant — which laid off thousands of employees and saw the departure of its founder Adam Neumann since it announced its City Beautiful plans — has yet to secure permit to begin building its future space in the 200 South Orange Avenue building, according to city documents.
