Lockheed launches $100K small biz innovation program here

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has created a $100,000 research and development fund for small Central Florida tech firms that work in areas such as sensors, artificial intelligence and autonomy.

The Lockheed Martin Invests: Orlandoinitiative, which launched today, Feb. 5, invites small businesses in Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties to submit proposals and compete for $100,000 to execute a variety of research and development projects. As part of the program, small businesses also must hire a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) intern to support their efforts. Read more here.
