Breaking: Region’s 4th-largest convention, worth $120M in impact, cancels due to coronavirus

The coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on Orlando’s convention industry, with its largest economic impact yet.

The Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society’s HIMSS20 Global Health Conference & Exhibition has canceled its planned March 9-12 show at the Orange County Convention Center. The event was slated to draw more than 44,000 attendees here. This conference and trade show had a $120 million economic impact in 2019, according to the convention center. Read more here.
