Human launches will return to Florida’s Space Coast this spring for the first time in nearly a decade.
SpaceX is targeting a May timeframe to hold its first crewed launch, President Gwynne Shotwell said on March 10 at the Satellite Conference in Washington, D.C. The Hawthorne, California-based rocket company’s Crew Dragon spacecraft will blast off from Cape Canaveral, carrying astronauts to the International Space Station. It will mark the first time U.S. space vehicles have carried astronauts to the space station since 2011. Read more here.
