Manufacturers navigate ripple effects of coronavirus laws and shutdowns

Local manufacturers face potential supply chain disruptions and work slowdowns amid the coronavirus outbreak, though the impact so far has been tempered. And at least one local company is seeing a boom in demand for its ventilators.   

This is important because the manufacturing sector is a haven of high-wage jobs. Statewide, jobs in this sector pay an average annual salary of $61,735, which is higher than the Orlando average annual salary of $44,900, according to a 2019 study from Florida TaxWatch.
