Cybersecurity firm raises nearly $2M as hacking spikes

Lake Mary-based cybersecurity company BlackCloak Inc. closed a $1.9 million fundraising round on May 6, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. 

The company will use the investment to bolster its cybersecurity services, which specialize in protecting high net-worth families and executives, CEO Chris Pierson told Orlando Business Journal. The fundraising round comes at a time when coronavirus is forcing many executives to work from home and cyber attacks are on the rise. Read more here
