Human spaceflight is back. Here’s how that will propel local industry

SpaceX successfully launched two NASA astronauts from Cape Canaveral Saturday, starting a new chapter in the history of the local space industry. 

A rocket and spacecraft built by the Hawthorne, California-based company carried NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station. It’s the first time since 2011 that U.S. astronauts have launched from U.S. soil and the first time in history that a private company launched them. Read more here.
