Expert: Pandemic and tech boost sales for Tupperware

Tupperware Brands Corp. blew the lid off many expert projections with its second-quarter results, and the pandemic and technology are to thank.    

After two years of falling sales figures, Tupperware (NYSE: TUP) surprised many analysts when it posted the company’s best quarter for U.S. sales in 18 years during the second quarter. The Orlando-based company’s recent success can be attributed to at least a couple of factors: more Americans eating at home during the pandemic and an increased use of technology in sales.
