Boeing astronaut drops, NASA adds vet to Starliner crew launch

The first crewed launch of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner will be an all-NASA astronaut affair after Boeing employee and former astronaut Chris Ferguson dropped out of the mission.

NASA said Ferguson opted out for personal reasons, so NASA has added a member of its astronauts corps, veteran Barry “Butch” Wilmore, to be the third passenger alongside astronauts Mike Fincke and Nicole Mann to the commercial crew vehicle’s first flight with humans on board. Read more here.
