Developer to seek contractors for new supersonic jet maker Aerion HQ

Local companies soon have the chance to get on board a manufacturing project for jets that fly faster than the speed of sound. 

Supersonic jet maker Aerion Corp. on Jan. 25 named construction firm Haskell Co. the design and build lead for Aerion’s $300 million Melbourne headquarters and manufacturing facility. Jacksonville-based Haskell expects to start site work in August, and likely will start compiling a list of potential contractors by May, Haskell Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing Division Leader Greg Akers told Orlando Business Journal. Read more here.
