SpaceX protests NASA’s $148 million award to rival ULA. Now a Jupiter mission is on hold.

SpaceX isn’t happy that NASA chose to award United Launch Alliance a contract for its unprecedented mission to Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids — and it’s fighting that decision.

In an official protest filed Monday with the U.S. Government Accountability Office, SpaceX is contesting NASA’s $148.3 million award to ULA for a 2021 mission from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to explore the asteroids. Read more here.
