SpaceX makes the case to wrest $148M NASA contract away from rival ULA

Billionaire Elon Musk’s popular rocket firm is fighting a decision that gave one of its rivals a big NASA contract, saying SpaceX could save the space agency money.

SpaceX on Feb. 11 filed a protest with the U.S. Government Accountability Office against NASA awarding a $148.3 million launch services contract to United Launch Alliance LLC — a Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and The Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) joint venture. Read more here.
