Right on time: SpaceX’s Crew Dragon sticks the landing — here’s what’s next

From launch to landing and everything in between, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon demo went off without a hitch, signaling what could be a promising mission for astronauts in about four months from now.

At the time SpaceX expected, the small capsule deployed its four parachutes and splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean at 8:45 a.m. on March 8, concluding a six-day mission that started with a launch from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on March 2. The Crew Dragon was launched to the International Space Station where it docked to the station.
