A fire broke out at a SpaceX facility in Cocoa on July 8, resulting in damaged equipment and infrastructure. No employees were injured.
The damage is estimated to cost the Hawthorne, California-based aerospace giant between $50,000-$100,000, according to Cocoa Fire Department spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez. SpaceX did not publicly acknowledge the incident, nor did founder and CEO Elon Musk, who was quiet on Twitter. Read more here.
