What UCF’s Lake Nona medical campus means for the region

The University of Central Florida’s new academic health sciences campus now under construction in southeast Orlando, is set to raise the profile of its 10-year-old medical school.

Having that academic health sciences center — which will include UCF’s existing College of Medicine, a teaching hospital now under construction and plans for a future nursing school — will make UCF stand out from other medical schools, said UCF College of Medicine Dean Dr. Deborah German.
