Space exploration programs in Central Florida likely will face more scrutiny following a recent government audit criticizing NASA’s relationship with client Boeing.
The Nov. 14 report by the NASA Office of Inspector General highlighted the delays in spacecraft development by both Chicago-based Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) and Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The program is a collaboration between the space agency and private companies to build spacecraft and launch systems to take astronauts to the International Space Station. Read more here.
