One of Central Florida’s largest public companies may see further decline in its commercial simulator business after Chicago-based Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) announced it will stop production of its 737 Max aircraft.
Melbourne-based L3Harris Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LHX) produces simulators for commercial aircraft, and the commercial aviation industry has been hit by the grounding of the 737 Max in March. The grounding came after two crashes involving the aircraft took place earlier this year, killing 346 people. Boeing, which employs 2,500 workers in Florida, will stop production on the aircraft in January. Read more here.
