These local firms are teaching the next generation of STEM workers

Central Florida’s tech scene is on the rise as Orlando recently was named one of the nations’ up-and-coming tech markets in the U.S. — but an industry is only as strong as its workforce.

While the Orlando area added tech jobs between 2005 and 2017, its workforce didn’t grow faster than the national workforce, according to a recent report by the Brookings Institute. In addition, tech consistently is evolving, and industries like autonomous vehicles, space exploration and virtual reality continue to grow in the region. This means there will be a fluctuating need for new, more specialized talent in the region. Read more here.
