Startup tech firm Yac raises $1.5M after finding investors on Twitter

Orlando-based Yac closed a $1.5 million venture capital funding round in December for its platform meant to ease communication among remote employees, co-founder and CEO Justin Mitchell told Orlando Business Journal. Yac is a voice collaboration tool that allows for asynchronous voice messaging for remote work teams.

The fundraising round was led by San Antonio-based venture firm Active Capital. Yac is an attractive investment because of the product design, the growth of remote work and the passion and speed of the team, Chris Saum, Active Capital director of business development, told OBJ. “The team moves so fast. Speed is key and crucial in terms of success in early-stage companies.”  Read more here.
