Sky high: Here’s why SpaceX is launching hemp to the space station

The International Space Station soon will receive different kinds of supplies: coffee and hemp. 

NASA and Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX plan to launch a rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on March 2 at 1:45 a.m. SpaceX, the rocket company founded by billionaire Elon Musk, will deliver equipment and research materials to the International Space Station, including coffee and hemp sent by Lafayette, Colorado-based Front Range Biosciences. The agriculture tech firm is testing the effect of zero gravity on the plants. Read more here.
