Orlando-based biomedical research firm Micro-gRx is sending human cells to the International Space Station to study their growth in microgravity. Micro-gRx is a spinoff of Sanford Burnham, a San Diego-based medical research institute that used to operate in Lake Nona. The firm’s first project launched to the ISS in 2018.
