An electric vehicle maker has revved up a search for a new manufacturing facility, and Orlando is a leading contender.
Canadian firm Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp. (Nasdaq: SOLO) on Feb. 27 said Orlando is one of seven cities it’s considering for a new U.S.-based assembly facility. The facility will house assembly of the firm’s Solo vehicle, a compact, three-wheeled electric car. The plant will create up to 200 jobs. Read more here.
