Lockheed takes off with $141M fighter jet contract with local work

More F-35 work is swooping into Lockheed Martin’s local facilities.

Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) won a $141 million add-on to a U.S. Navy deal to provide repair capabilities for the communications and navigation systems in the F-35 aircraft, the Department of Defense announced Feb. 28. Lockheed’s Melbourne facility will receive 12% of the work, which could be worth nearly $17 million. Work is expected to wrap up by June 2024. Read more here.
