Lockheed dodges Covid woes in Q2, but expects pandemic’s effects to increase

Lockheed Martin Corp., one of metro Orlando’s biggest employers, largely was able to sidestep damaging impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in the second quarter — but, executives warned, beyond this point there may be monsters.

The Bethesda, Maryland-based defense giant beat high revenue estimates to log $16.2 billion for the quarter, a gain of 12% over the prior year, which executives attributed to successful mitigation techniques Lockheed (NYSE: LMT) deployed to limit Covid-19’s impact. Read more here.
