Lockheed’s Florida space program to drive long-term need for tech workers

Lockheed Martin Corp. is putting thrusters on its local space work. 

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is ramping up production on Florida’s Space Coast for the Orion spacecraft. Production of the capsule that’ll take humans to the moon and beyond means high-tech jobs in the region well into the next decade, Kelly DeFazio, Lockheed’s Orion program director for production, said during a July 30 roundtable of Space Coast aerospace executives.
