Health innovators: Orlando tech firm Care.ai’s sensors to streamline patient care

Chakri Toleti comes from a family of physicians, and his own interest in artificial intelligence made him curious about the opportunities of using AI in the health care field.

His curiosity was pushed into action two years ago when his mother suffered a slip-and-fall incident in a bathroom and was stuck for hours. That inspired Toleti in 2019 to launch Care.ai Inc., which makes autonomous sensors that monitor patients.
