3 ways EA’s college football video games will boost the Orlando economy

Electronic Arts Inc.’s upcoming college football games are primed to create jobs and business opportunities outside the walls of the game developer’s local studio.

Redwood City, California-based EA (Nasdaq: EA) on Feb. 2 announced it again will develop college football video games after discontinuing its NCAA Football series in 2013. The gaming giant’s Maitland-based EA Tiburon studio, which previously developed games in the successful NCAA Football franchise, will lead the development of this new series, said EA Tiburon Vice President and General Manager Daryl Holt in a prepared statement.
